We Offer Diverse Teacher Pathways

Pick the graduate program that's right for you!

Special Education

Special educators work in collaboration with lead instructors and teaching assistants to develop individualized lesson plans for students with a wide range of special needs. We offer one pathway:

  • Special Education K-12: Learn to teach students with a wide range of support needs from complex disabilities to those who need targeted support with behavior, social, or academic skills.

Elementary Education

Elementary educators are generalists, teaching a little bit of everything in kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. We offer three pathways:

  • Elementary Education: Work with K-5 students and create a vibrant learning community.
  • Bilingual Teacher Pathway: If you are bilingual and want to support students—especially in developing language skills, this path is for you!
  • International Teacher Education: Designed for educators who have a teaching license in another country and now want to earn an Oregon teaching license.

Secondary Education

Middle school and high school teachers specialize in a specific subject and teach multiple groups of students throughout the day. We offer three pathways:

  • Graduate Teacher Education Program: If you love your subject area and want to teach teenagers, this program is for you!
  • Bilingual Teacher Pathway: If you’re bilingual and have subject-area expertise, this path is for you!
  • International Teacher Education Program: Designed for educators who have a teaching license in another country and now want to earn an Oregon teaching license.
