PSU will cover tuition and most mandatory fees for eligible Oregon residents starting fall 2023. Available to first year, transfer, and students attending full time or part time.

PSU’s new Tuition-Free Degree program covers tuition and most mandatory fees for low-income Oregon residents.
You will be automatically considered for Tuition-Free Degree when you apply to PSU and submit the FAFSA. Apply to PSU and submit the FAFSA by August 1.
Who is it for?
The Tuition-Free Degree is for Oregon residents — from high school seniors to working parents, professionals looking for a career change or anyone with an unfinished degree.
How does it work?
Attend part-time or full-time. We meet you where you are, so you don’t have to do it alone. You’ll have all the resources and support of Oregon’s only public urban research university behind you.
