The Access, Connect, Complete, Engage (ACCE) Program at Portland State University (PSU) is designed to support students at community colleges in achieving their academic goals by providing personalized coaching and other resources. The American Institute for Research (AIR) is working with PSU to conduct an evaluation of the ACCE program.
ACCE evaluation details. The evaluation will look at demographic, academic, and financial information from college records as well as information from coaches. We do not anticipate any risks or direct benefit from participation in the ACCE evaluation. Your participation in the ACCE program and evaluation is voluntary. You do not have to take part and you may stop at any time with no penalties. Your decision will not affect your status at any college. The evaluation team will keep your identity and information confidential and your information will not be used for other purposes. This evaluation will be used to improve the ACCE program and aggregated findings may be published in a report. No individual or identifying information will be published. Participation in the evaluation would continue until the program ends in 2028.
ACCE program details. If selected for the ACCE program, you will gain access to personalized coaching, financial incentives, and opportunities for academic and professional growth. The program lasts until you graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or when the program ends in 2028. Eligible ACCE students who voluntarily confirm U.S. citizenship status will receive a $250 gift card at the end of each term. The amount, frequency, and delivery method of this incentive may change in future terms. Due to federal tax regulations and reporting requirements, gift cards distributed through this program are intended for U.S. citizens only. Non-U.S. citizens with legal status to be in the U.S. may participate in this program, but will not be able to receive financial incentives.
What am I expected to do as a participant in the ACCE program? You will be asked to meet and communicate with your assigned coach, attend workshops/events, and/or make efforts to achieve your academic goals. You will be asked to be respectful across all communication platforms in interactions with other students, coaches, or team members of ACCE.
Release statement. By agreeing to participate, I give permission to my high school and/or postsecondary institution to release demographic, academic, and financial information about me to AIR and PSU for purposes of program administration and evaluation. I give ACCE permission to share my contact information with partner colleges or other organizations only to connect me with additional resources.
